At the Domaine Jean-Pierre Bailly…
Stemming from the Sauvignon grape variety, our Pouilly-Fumé vines are between ten and 40 years old.
They are planted in the municipalities of Tracy-sur-Loire, Saint-Andelain and Pouilly-sur-Loire, on limestone and clay-limestone soils and kimmeridgian marls which are best-suited for this designation.
After alcoholic fermentation and a few months of maturing on fine lees, a dry and fruity white wine with white flowers aroma typical of this designation and which make the reputation of our Pouilly Fumé is obtained.
Our Pouilly-Fumé is particularly good with fish, shellfish, white meat and some goat cheese… or simply as an aperitif !
We also produce the Pouilly-sur-Loire designations with Chasselas and Coteaux du Giennois – white, red and rosé – made from Sauvignon blanc and Pinot Noir grape variety.
